truTV’s hit show, Impractical Jokers, features four friends who never met a dare they wouldn’t do. For Season 2, we took inspiration from the show’s improvisational style of humor, to prank websites popular with our young male target. In this creative example, the Jokers “built” a page takeover in real time by tagging the page with spray paint and paint rollers. Users were able to sample a variety of clips from the show and share them with their social network to spread the word. It worked. The Impractical Jokers were a hit, earning the highest rating in its time period.
